To boost his efforts, Tollywood actors Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej have joined the campaign trail, showing their support for Pawan Kalyan.
Varun Tej campaigned for his uncle last week, while Sai Dharam Tej accompanied Pawan Kalyan for his roadshow in Pithapuram and Machilipatnam. However, the roadshow took a violent turn when Sai Dharam Tej was attacked with glass bottles. During the incident, a fellow Janasainik suffered serious injuries, sustaining a direct hit to the face that caused severe bleeding. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, while others narrowly avoided injury.
This disturbing incident has put a spotlight on the rising tensions in the political arena. Janasena has formed a coalition with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to challenge the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), led by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
