Boyapati Srinu and Nandamuri Balakrishna Set to Reunite for “Akhanda” Sequel

The formidable combination of Nandamuri Balakrishna and blockbuster director Boyapati Srinu needs no special introduction, having delivered a trio of hits with “Simha,” “Legend,” and “Akhanda.” Boyapati’s unique vision has consistently showcased Balakrishna in a light unmatched by any other director.

In a recent press interaction, Boyapati Srinu confirmed their collaboration once again, this time for the sequel to their acclaimed film “Akhanda.” Promising to address societal needs with divine elements, the director announced that an official announcement will follow after the upcoming elections.

Following its 2021 release, “Akhanda” soared to success both domestically and internationally, earning accolades even after its OTT premiere. Balakrishna’s career is on an upward trajectory with three consecutive hits: “Akhanda,” “Veera Simha Reddy,” and “Bhagavanth Kesari.” Currently on hiatus due to the impending elections, Balakrishna will resume shooting for NBK 109, directed by Bobby. Once filming for NBK 109 wraps post-elections, preparations for the “Akhanda” sequel will commence.
