“Kalki 2898 AD” secured the third position in national chain advances for 2024. The Hindi version sold 1,25,000 tickets for its opening day in PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis (PIC) theaters, ranking just behind “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi” and “Fighter.” It shares the third spot with “Article 370.”
However, “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi” and “Article 370” benefited from Cinema Lovers Day, which offered tickets at Rs. 99. In contrast, “Kalki 2898 AD” is set to open much bigger due to its higher average ticket price. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is expected to earn around 20-25 crore nett in the Hindi market on its opening day. Positive audience feedback could push this number even higher
