Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, has taken the Indian box office by storm. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this film blends mythology and sci-fi elements, incorporating portions from the Mahabharata. Tamil actor Krishnakumar Balasubramanian portrayed Lord Sri Krishna, though his face was not revealed.

In a recent interview, Nag Ashwin explained the reason for this choice. He said, “The idea was always to keep him a silhouette and formless, without an identity. Otherwise, it just becomes a person or an actor. The idea was always to keep him dark-skinned and show him as a mysterious figure.”

Ashwin further stated, “There is no plan to reveal the face, and we will continue to depict him as a silhouette.” Despite Krishnakumar’s face not being shown, the role was well-received by the audience, with Arjun Das’ dubbing for this special character being the icing on the cake.
