Even before its release, the buzz surrounding “Manjummel Boys” surpassed that of its predecessors, resulting in solid advance bookings.
The film has garnered exceptional reviews and positive word of mouth, starting from its morning shows. Within just two days, “Manjummel Boys” has grossed approximately 15 crores worldwide, with a significant portion of 6.65 crores coming from Kerala alone. With an impressive weekend booking trend, industry experts anticipate the film to gross around 35 crores over its four-day extended weekend. Given the overwhelmingly positive reception, there’s a strong possibility that “Manjummel Boys” might even surpass the coveted 100 crores gross mark.
The film’s performance during the weekdays will provide a clearer picture of its final box office figures. “Manjummel Boys” is a gripping survival thriller based on a real incident, following a group of friends embarking on a journey to Kodaikanal. The movie boasts a talented ensemble cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arjun Kurian, among others.
Helmed by director Chidambaram, the film is jointly produced by Soubin Shahir and Shawn Antony under the esteemed banner of Parava Films. Complementing the narrative is the mesmerizing music composed by Sushin Shyam.
