Nag Ashwin Reveals Plans for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Sequel

The latest Tollywood epic, “Kalki 2898 AD,” is making waves at the global box office, grossing over Rs. 725 crores in just seven days. This film seamlessly blends mythology with futurism, earning widespread praise for Nag Ashwin’s visionary direction and the outstanding performances of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone.

In a recent interview, Nag Ashwin shared his ambitious plans to expand the Kalki universe. Contrary to rumors that 60% of the second installment was completed, he clarified that only about 25 to 30 days of shooting have been finished. He expressed confidence in developing the sequel, stating that with the first part well-received, he feels less pressure for the second part. The characters are already developed, and now the focus is on orchestrating the crucial face-offs that audiences eagerly anticipate.

The film’s producer, Ashwini Dutt, mentioned in another interview that production for the sequel will begin at the end of the year. They are aiming to release the second installment between May and July next year, pending official confirmation from the director.

“Kalki 2898 AD” features stars like Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Rajendra Prasad, and Shobhana, weaving together a spectacular story. The film is produced by the renowned production house Vyjayanthi Movies, with a soundtrack by Santosh Narayanan that captivates audiences worldwide.
