When we prepare desserts and drinks for our mothers, we’re not just feeding them; we’re nourishing their spirits with our love and gratitude. So, join us in this simple act of appreciation and affection by whipping up a sweet treat or a refreshing drink for mom this Mother’s Day, filling her heart with sweetness, warmth, and joy.
Masala Chai Ice Cream:
Ingredients:
- 150 gm whole milk
- 100 gm heavy cream
- 35 gm granulated sugar
- 15 gm brown sugar
- 1 gm ground cardamom
- 1 gm ground cinnamon
- 0.5 gm ground cloves
- 1 gm ground nutmeg
- 5 gm vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strong brewed black tea (cooled)
Method:
- Combine milk, cream, sugars, and spices in a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes to infuse flavors.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla extract and cooled tea, then refrigerate.
- Freeze in an ice cream maker, then transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 4 hours.
Chocolate Brownie:
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp melted chocolate
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp milk
- Nutella (for serving)
Method:
- Combine melted butter and chocolate in a pan, then add yogurt and sugar.
- Mix in flour, cocoa powder, and milk until smooth.
- Bake covered on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with Nutella.
Mango Mary:
Ingredients:
- 90 ml mango juice
- 15 ml lime juice
- 5 gm black pepper crush
- 5 gm black salt, chat masala
- 5-6 drops Tabasco
- Mango slice, mint leaves (for garnish)
Method:
- Rim glass with salt and fill with ice.
- Mix mango juice, lime juice, Tabasco, salt, and pepper in a shaker.
- Strain into prepared glass, garnish, and serve.
Mango Coconut Panna Cotta:
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 1 can coconut cream milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp mango essence
- 1/4 cup cold water
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Method:
- Puree mangoes and set aside.
- Heat coconut milk and sugar, then add mango puree and essence.
- Dissolve gelatin in cold water, then add to mango mixture.
- Pour into serving glasses and refrigerate until set.
Shahi Kalakand Phirni:
Ingredients:
- 250 ml chocolate flavored syrup
- 650 ml milk
- 40 gm soaked rice paste
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tsp sliced pistachios
- 100 gm kalakand (for garnish)
Method:
- Reduce milk by half, add rice paste, and cook until thickened.
- Mix in chocolate syrup and cardamom powder, then cook until desired consistency.
- Serve in individual bowls, garnished with pistachios and crumbled kalakand.
