Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi has earned immense popularity in the Telugu states, captivating audiences with his remarkable performances in films like Pizza, Nawab (directed by Mani Ratnam), 96, Master, Vikram, and Maharaja. Fondly known as Makkal Selvan by his fans, Vijay Sethupathi made his Tollywood debut in 2019 with Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa, and later impressed with the 2021 romantic drama Uppena.
In a recent promotional event for his upcoming film Vidudala 2, the actor revealed that he has been listening to scripts from Telugu filmmakers, hinting at the possibility of a lead role debut in the Telugu film industry. “I am working on it, and it could happen soon,” said the versatile actor, known for his award-winning performances.
Vidudala 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Vidudala, will see Vijay Sethupathi portraying the role of an extremist leader. Directed by Vetrimaaran, the film also stars Soori, Manju Warrier, Bhavana Sre, Kishore, and Gautham Menon, among others. The movie is set for a global release on December 20.
