The much-anticipated film “Lal Salaam,” featuring Superstar Rajinikanth, faced a significant setback as it failed to meet expectations at the box office. Directed by Rajini’s daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the movie’s outcome prompted her to share revealing insights in a recent interview.
Aishwarya disclosed that her father’s role was initially intended as a brief 10-minute cameo but was expanded to cater to his immense fan following. She emphasized the importance of satisfying the audience’s expectations, which led to extensive revisions, including last-minute script alterations and the addition of commercial elements.
Despite the film’s strong underlying content, Aishwarya acknowledged that the rushed changes affected its coherence, resulting in confusion among viewers during the first half. Nevertheless, she expressed satisfaction with her directorial debut, citing it as a valuable learning experience in her filmmaking journey.
