Akhanda, the blockbuster film starring Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, grossed over 100 crores worldwide, bringing a much-needed relief to Balakrishna after a series of consecutive flops. The team recently held the pooja ceremony for the sequel, which is titled Akhanda Thandavam. The much-anticipated Akhanda 2 has officially begun filming.
The shoot is set to start on December 11th at Ramoji Film City, with the film targeting a release during the Dussehra season of 2025. Meanwhile, Balakrishna’s other project, Daaku Maharaaj, is currently in post-production and is aiming for a Sankranthi release in 2025.
Akhanda 2 is set to be one of the biggest ventures in Balakrishna’s career, and the film’s scale and the successful combination of its team have generated significant excitement. It will also be released as a pan-India film, capitalizing on the immense popularity of the original Akhanda.
