Two weeks have passed since the tragic incident at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, which left a woman dead and her young son hospitalized. A case has been filed against lead actor Allu Arjun and the theatre management for allegedly failing to inform the police about his visit. In response to the incident, Allu Aravind, father of Allu Arjun, visited the hospitalized victim on Wednesday.
After visiting the young boy in critical condition, Allu Aravind shared an update on his recovery. He said, “I just visited Sri Tej in the ICU and spoke with the doctors. He has been recovering slowly over the last 10 days, but it may take more time. We are ready to offer any support needed for his recovery, and we are thankful that the government has also come forward to help.”
Addressing the issue of why Allu Arjun has not visited the family, Aravind explained, “Arjun wanted to visit the family the day after the incident. However, hospital authorities advised them to stay put for safety reasons. That was also the day the case was filed against him.” He further clarified that their legal team, led by Niranjan Reddy, had advised Arjun against visiting the hospital at that time. “I got permission from the authorities to visit today as Arjun felt deeply bad about not being able to meet them sooner. I thank CM Revanth Reddy, the police, and the hospital for allowing my visit,” he added.
What Happened: On December 4, Allu Arjun visited Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad with Pushpa 2 co-star Rashmika Mandanna and his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy. A large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor, leading to a stampede-like situation. As a result, the police filed an FIR against Arjun and the theatre management for not informing them of the visit.
On December 13, Arjun was arrested by the Chikkadapally Police and held overnight at Chanchalaguda Central Jail. He was later granted 4-week interim bail by the Telangana High Court after being sent to a 14-day remand by the Nampally Court. The actor has since expressed his grief over the incident.
