Allu Arjun and Sukumar have delivered another massive blockbuster with their pan-India action drama, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film has grossed an impressive ₹449 crore worldwide in just two days, reaffirming its dominance at the box office. To celebrate this milestone, the makers hosted a grand Wildfire Blockbuster Success Meet on Saturday evening, attended by Allu Arjun, Sukumar, and the core cast and crew.
During the event, director Sukumar took a moment to express his heartfelt gratitude to India’s iconic filmmaker, SS Rajamouli. Sukumar revealed that it was Rajamouli who convinced him, Allu Arjun, and the producers to release the first part, Pushpa: The Rise, as a pan-Indian film. Initially, the team had no such plans and even considered dropping the idea after releasing two Hindi songs.
“Rajamouli garu, you are the reason I’m standing here today. I owe my career to you,” Sukumar said, acknowledging Rajamouli’s pivotal role in the franchise’s success.
Rajamouli, who has always expressed his admiration for the Pushpa series, had publicly endorsed its potential to become a pan-Indian phenomenon. The global sensation created by Pushpa: The Rise needs no introduction, and the recently released Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to build on that legacy, thrilling audiences worldwide.
