The suspense surrounding Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel has come to an end with the makers officially announcing the release date. Contrary to media speculation about a Sankranthi 2025 release, Thandel is now set to hit theaters on February 7, 2025, marking the announcement with a grand reveal.
Explaining the decision, Thandel’s presenter, Allu Arvind, shared his insights on avoiding the Sankranthi release window. “Sankranthi has numerous releases, making it challenging to secure a big release without sharing theaters. The first weekend and week collections are crucial for any film, and a solo release can maximize this impact. We want the audience’s undivided attention on our film and promotional content,” Arvind stated.
Arvind further added, “With Maha Shivaratri on February 28, releasing in March isn’t ideal as it’s exam season, and audiences may have limited budgets by month-end. We even had December 20 in mind at one point.” Director Chandoo Mondeti expressed confidence in the choice, stating, “Allu Arvind Garu considered all factors before finalizing the date. I assure you, Thandel will deliver exceptional revenues.”
