Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s latest release, Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is soaring at the box office. Having completed two strong weeks in theaters, Amaran is on track to hit the Rs 300-crore milestone worldwide, with trade reports indicating its momentum remains strong. The film earned approximately Rs 3.15 crore nett domestically on November 15, bringing its India total to Rs 172 crore nett.
Despite facing competition from Suriya’s Kanguva, which opened on November 14 to mixed reviews, Amaran has maintained steady viewership, recording a notable 25.73% occupancy rate on November 14. If the film sees a boost over the third weekend, it could secure blockbuster status.
Based on India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, the biographical war drama portrays a significant mission by Major Mukund Varadarajan. Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, the film also features Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, and Shreekumar in key roles.
