Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran has been a major hit, with its exceptional box office performance continuing to delight exhibitors and distributors. In fact, theater owners had requested the producers to delay the film’s OTT release, hoping for an extended run, as Amaran remains the top choice for moviegoers, even amidst competition from Kanguva.
However, reports now confirm that Amaran will stream on Netflix in all languages starting November 29th, much to the disappointment of theater owners. Despite their hopes for a longer theatrical window, the film’s OTT release is on schedule.
With Kanguva failing to make an impact, theater owners are relying heavily on Amaran and Lucky Baskhar to drive audiences to theaters. Both films are set for their OTT premieres next weekend, as their deals with the streaming giant have already been finalized.
