As advertisements grow on traditional TV, they’re now moving into digital streaming. Amazon Prime Video plans to introduce ads in its content by 2025, aligning with Amazon’s investment in premium content while providing diverse viewer options.
Amazon assures that the ads won’t disrupt the experience, with “meaningfully fewer ads” than traditional TV or other streaming platforms. The ads will be limited to avoid overwhelming viewers.
For those preferring an uninterrupted experience, an ad-free subscription option will also be available, with pricing details coming soon. No immediate changes will be made to current Prime membership fees, and users will receive ample notice before ads are introduced, including instructions on opting for the ad-free version.
