Ananya Nagalla is an Indian actress known for her work in Telugu cinema. Ananya Nagalla was born into a Telugu family in Sathupalli, Khammam district, Telangana (formerly part of Andhra Pradesh), to Venkateswara Rao and Vishnu Priya. Her father is a businessman, and the family relocated to Hyderabad for her education. Ananya earned her BTech degree from Raja Mahendra College of Engineering in Ibrahimpatnam and worked at Infosys before transitioning to a career in the film industry.

Ananya Nagalla began her career at Infosys as a test analyst in March 2014 and was later promoted to software engineer in the Public Services department. During this time, she also pursued a law course on weekends. Her foray into acting began unexpectedly when she was offered a role in the short film Shaadi (2017), marking her acting debut. This experience sparked her passion for acting, leading her to enroll in an acting school in Manikonda, Hyderabad.

Determined to pursue a career in acting, Ananya worked hard to land the role of Padma in the 2019 film Mallesham. In an interview, she revealed that she took a month-long break from her job to attend several auditions for the part. Her dedication paid off when director Raj Rachakonda noticed her improvement and cast her in the role. Although her parents were initially hesitant about her career shift, they supported her dreams.

Following her successful debut in Tollywood with Mallesham in 2019, Ananya went on to portray Divya Nayak in the 2021 Telugu-language film Vakeel Saab, a remake of the Hindi legal thriller Pink (2016).
