Despite the critical acclaim for her performances, the films didn’t perform well commercially. Anjali’s role in “Mankatha” (2011) was notable despite being a supporting one.

The year 2012 saw her in “Engaeyum Eppothum,” where her portrayal as a bold nurse earned her further acclaim. “Kalakalappu” (2012) showcased her in a leading role, garnering praise for her natural performance.

Continuing her success, Anjali starred in the Telugu multi-starrer “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu” (2013) and AR Murugadoss’ production “Vathikuchi” (2013). While the former received critical and commercial success, the latter received mixed reviews. Her performances in films like “Settai” (2013) and “Geethanjali” (2014) earned her further accolades, including the Nandi Award for Best Actress.

From 2015 onwards, Anjali experienced a mix of setbacks and comebacks across various languages. While some projects like “Dictator” (2016) and “Iraivi” (2016) received positive reviews, others like “Peranbu” (2019) and “Lisaa” (2019) faced challenges. However, her role in “Vakeel Saab” (2021) marked a significant comeback, proving successful despite the pandemic-induced limitations.
