Bathukamma 2024: 5 Types of Prasadas for Navratri

During Navratri, special food offerings are made to honor Goddess Durga. These offerings often include five varieties of rice and one sweet dish. Here’s a list of the traditional rice preparations and sweet made on this auspicious day:

1. Curd Rice (పెరుగన్నం సద్ది): A cooling rice dish made with yogurt, tempered spices, and herbs.
2. Lemon Rice (నిమ్మకాయ పులిహోర సద్ది): Tangy rice infused with the flavor of fresh lemons and spices.
3. Tamarind Rice (చింతపండు పులిహోర సద్ది): A flavorful rice dish prepared with tamarind pulp and seasoning.
4. Tamarind Rice with Coconut Powder (కొబ్బరి అన్నం సద్ది): A variation of tamarind rice enhanced with grated coconut.
5. Tamarind Rice with Sesame Seed Powder (నువ్వుల అన్నం సద్ది): Another variation, this one includes sesame seed powder for added depth of flavor.

Malleda (మళ్లీద): A sweet dish made from chapati and sugar, shaped into small balls, and offered as a traditional prasad.
