The day has been filled with high drama surrounding Allu Arjun’s arrest. Early in the morning, the star actor was taken into custody by Chikkadpally Police in connection with the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre, which resulted in a woman’s death. After undergoing medical tests at Gandhi Hospital, Allu Arjun was presented before the Nampally Court.
The court initially sentenced the actor to 14 days of judicial remand, following which he was transferred to Chanchalguda Jail. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun had filed a quash petition in the High Court, seeking a stay on legal proceedings and the dismissal of the FIR lodged against him. However, the High Court hearings began only after the Nampally Court’s verdict.
Prominent lawyer Niranjan Reddy represented Allu Arjun in the High Court, vigorously arguing for the dismissal of the FIR. Though the court declined to quash the FIR at this stage, Niranjan Reddy sought interim bail. After an intense hour-long debate with the Public Prosecutor, the High Court finally granted interim bail to the actor for a duration of four weeks.
The judge observed that the actor could not be held responsible for the unfortunate incident, as he neither anticipated his presence would cause harm nor intended any wrongdoing. With interim bail now granted, Allu Arjun is set to be released from judicial custody—much to the relief of his fans, who have been deeply distressed throughout the day.
