Biggest Ever Deal for ‘Double iSmart’: Worldwide Theatrical Rights Sold for Rs 60 Crores

After the disappointment of “Liger,” director Puri Jagannadh decided to return with a sequel to his super hit film “iSmart Shankar.” Titled “Double iSmart,” the film features Ram and Kavya Thapar in the lead roles. Despite facing a financial crisis, all obstacles have now been cleared for the film’s release.

Niranjan Reddy of Prime Show Entertainments, the producer of “Hanuman,” has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights of “Double iSmart” for a substantial sum of Rs 60 crores. This deal excludes the Hindi version and North Indian rights, making it a significant risk for Reddy. The agreement consists of Rs 54 crores (non-refundable) and Rs 6 crores (refundable). If the film performs well, it will result in profits for the team.

Post-production work on “Double iSmart” is progressing rapidly, with Sanjay Dutt playing the lead antagonist. The film is produced by Puri Connects, with Manisharma composing the music and background score. Ram’s energetic performance and the dynamic scenes between Ram and Sanjay Dutt are expected to be major highlights of “Double iSmart.”
