Telangana High Court granted actor Allu Arjun interim bail on December 13, following his arrest related to a tragic incident during the premiere of his film, “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” His arrest has been labeled a “fabricated case” by film writer Chinni Krishna, sparking widespread support from political figures, celebrities, and fans alike.
Chinni Krishna Calls Allu Arjun’s Arrest ‘Fabricated’
Renowned Telugu film writer Chinni Krishna criticized Allu Arjun’s arrest, calling it a “fabricated case” allegedly orchestrated by the government and police. Speaking to ANI, Krishna remarked, “It is a case fabricated by the government and police.” His statement fueled the ongoing public debate, with several prominent figures from the film industry and political arena voicing their support for the actor.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), and actors Rashmika Mandanna and Varun Dhawan were among those who openly supported Allu Arjun, calling the incident unfortunate and unjust.
Legal Battle Intensifies: Lawyer Threatens Further Action
Allu Arjun’s lawyer, Ashok Reddy, expressed frustration over the delay in his client’s release, calling it “illegal detention.” Despite the Telangana High Court’s order for his release, authorities reportedly stalled the process. Reddy announced plans to pursue legal action against those responsible for the delay.
“They received an order copy from the High Court, but despite that, they didn’t release the accused. They will have to answer for it. As of now, he has been released,” stated Ashok Reddy.
Allu Arjun Released on Bail
After spending time in Chanchalguda Central Jail, Allu Arjun was granted bail upon posting a personal bond of ₹50,000. The actor was released on Saturday morning, receiving a warm and emotional welcome at his home in Jubilee Hills. Family members and loved ones gathered for his arrival, while fans and media crowded the area to catch a glimpse of the star.
Speaking to the media after his release, Allu Arjun expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support he received from fans and well-wishers.
“I thank everyone for the love and support. I want to thank all my fans. There is nothing to worry about. I am fine. I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate. I would like to once again express my condolences to the family. It was an unfortunate incident,” the actor shared.
Actor Emphasizes the Accidental Nature of the Incident
Allu Arjun highlighted that the incident was purely accidental, offering his condolences to the family affected by the tragedy.
“I’m a law-abiding citizen, there’s nothing to worry about. All is well. Condolences to the family. It was an accident — nothing like that had happened before. I have extended my full support to her family. Thank you to all of you,” he added, addressing the media and fans.
Shock and Sorrow Over the Incident
Before his arrest, Allu Arjun had spoken publicly about the tragedy during a success meet for Pushpa 2: The Rule. Recalling the emotional toll of the incident, he revealed that it took him several hours to mentally process what had occurred.
“The incident that took place in the Sandhya theatre is very unfortunate. I’m shocked. It took me hours to process it and respond. I couldn’t process it psychologically. It took me around 10 hours. We all blanked out when we heard the news,” he stated.
As the legal battle continues, support for Allu Arjun continues to grow, with calls for justice from both industry insiders and the public.
