Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s much-anticipated international project, SSMB29, has already created a massive buzz, and with every new update, the hype is only growing stronger. As per the latest reports, the film is gearing up for an early summer release in 2027.
Now, an exciting new development is adding to the buzz—acclaimed filmmaker Deva Katta has officially joined the team of SSMB29.
Known for his intense storytelling and impactful dialogues, Deva Katta is all set to contribute as the dialogue writer for SSMB29. Fans are thrilled to see him collaborate once again with SS Rajamouli, as the duo had previously worked together on the Baahubali series. Deva Katta played a crucial role in crafting the dialogues for Baahubali, and his work was widely appreciated.
Deva Katta, best known for films like Prasthanam and Republic, was also previously rumored to co-direct the Netflix web series Shivagami, a prequel to Baahubali, alongside Rajamouli. The series was said to be based on Anand Neelakantan’s novel and focused on the rise of Shivagami and Kattappa. However, the project didn’t materialize.
Despite that, Rajamouli was impressed by Deva Katta’s creative approach and dialogue writing. This mutual admiration has now brought them back together for what is being touted as India’s most ambitious film—SSMB29.
With Deva Katta coming on board, expectations around SSMB29 have soared even higher. Fans can’t wait to see what magic this powerhouse team will create on the big screen.
