NTR’s latest film, Devara, has turned into a massive blockbuster, grossing over ₹300 crores worldwide. Midway through the production, both NTR and director Koratala Siva decided to split the film into two parts. However, the much-anticipated Devara 2 might not start anytime soon.
NTR is committed to working on two major films, War 2 and NTR-Neel, which will keep him occupied for at least a year. There are also discussions of him collaborating with Tamil director Nelson for another project. This leaves Koratala Siva in a tough spot, as NTR’s absence may delay Devara 2.
The shooting of the sequel could take up to two years, meaning Koratala Siva will have to wait until NTR finishes his current commitments. With only Acharya and Devara released in the last two years, Koratala now faces an extended waiting period for the next installment. As things stand, Devara 2 is expected to release only in 2027, leaving Koratala Siva in limbo for the next few years.
