NTR’s highly anticipated film Devara hit theaters yesterday, releasing in multiple Indian languages. Directed by Koratala Siva, this action-packed drama stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Despite being promoted as a PAN-Indian film, the promotional efforts in non-Telugu regions were relatively limited. As a result, the Hindi version saw modest pre-sales but quickly gained momentum with each successive show.
According to trade analysts, Devara’s Hindi version earned an impressive ₹7-7.5 crores nett on its opening day, even with minimal promotion. NTR’s rising popularity after RRR, combined with the star power of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, contributed to a solid start for the film in the Hindi-speaking markets.
Looking ahead, Devara aims for a ₹30 crore opening weekend. Its long-term box office success will depend on its performance on Monday. If the film maintains its momentum, it could surpass the ₹100 crore nett mark. However, strong competition looms with upcoming releases like Alia Bhatt’s Jigra and Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Vala Video
