Devara: Is the ‘Daavudi’ Song Trimmed from the Final Cut?

The third single from Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One, titled “Daavudi,” has faced criticism following its release, receiving a lukewarm response from audiences. Many listeners have compared it unfavorably to Anirudh Ravichander’s earlier hit “Arabic Kuthu” from Beast (2022).

Initially, the plan was to feature “Daavudi” at the film’s conclusion, similar to how “Etthara Jenda” was used in RRR (2022). However, recent reports suggest that the filmmakers are now considering cutting the song entirely from the final edit.

As with many two-part films, Devara ends on a cliffhanger designed to maintain audience interest for the sequel. The creative team believes that including a mass song at the end could detract from the film’s impactful conclusion. It remains to be seen how this decision will affect viewers when the film premieres tomorrow.
