Jr NTR’s much-anticipated action film Devara: Part 1 has experienced a sharp decline in its Kerala box office collections as it wraps up its first week. According to Sacnilk, the film earned just Rs 3 lakhs on day seven in Kerala, a steep drop from the Rs 10 lakhs collected on day six. In total, Devara has managed to earn only Rs 1.23 crores in Kerala over seven days, signaling a weak performance in the state.

Despite its struggles in Kerala, Devara has performed exceptionally well on a global scale. In its opening week, the movie amassed an impressive Rs 314.25 crores worldwide, with India contributing significantly. The total net collections in India stand at Rs 215.5 crores, while gross collections reach Rs 246.75 crores. International markets have brought in Rs 67.5 crores, showcasing the film’s strong global appeal.

In the Telugu-speaking regions, Devara has been a blockbuster hit, generating Rs 164.25 crores in its first week alone. The Hindi version has also seen success, earning Rs 43.75 crores. However, the film’s reception in other regions has been lukewarm. Karnataka has contributed Rs 1.57 crores, while Tamil Nadu’s box office collections total Rs 4.8 crores. Kerala remains the weakest performing state with just Rs 1.23 crores over the week.

The disappointing performance in Kerala may be due to a wave of mediocre reviews. Critics have pointed out the underwhelming action sequences and issues with Koratala Siva’s direction. Despite strong performances from Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, the film has struggled to meet the high expectations of fans and the wider audience. While Devara: Part 1 generated significant buzz prior to its release, the mixed reviews and declining box office numbers in Kerala suggest that the film may face challenges in maintaining its presence in the region.
