Devara, starring NTR, is enjoying a fantastic run at the box office, surprising trade analysts with its remarkable performance. The film’s Telugu version, with theatrical rights valued at ₹160 crores, has already achieved the breakeven point. Yesterday’s surge in collections, particularly in the Telugu-speaking states, resulted in houseful shows, signaling the film’s success.
With the Dussehra holidays approaching, Devara is expected to witness even higher numbers next weekend, with projections of the Telugu version’s full run nearing ₹180 crores. While the film struggled in Tamil Nadu, it performed well in Karnataka and made solid progress in the Hindi belt, nearing ₹50 crores nett. Kerala saw limited collections since it was a self-release.
With only ₹10 crores remaining to hit the breakeven point in the Hindi market, Devara is well on its way to becoming a commercial hit globally. The worldwide gross has already surpassed ₹365 crores, and the film is steadily approaching the ₹400 crore milestone.
