In just a few hours, the highly anticipated blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD will make its global debut on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. The Prabhas-starrer is poised to take over OTT platforms, and as excitement builds, director Nag Ashwin has addressed and debunked several popular fan theories.
One widely discussed theory speculated that Dulquer Salmaan would return in the sequel to reveal Prabhas’s true identity, but Nag Ashwin has dismissed this notion. Another theory suggested that Prabhas’s character traveled from the future to save his mother, played by Deepika Padukone, which the director also confirmed as false.
Additionally, fans believed that Vijay Deverakonda would team up with Prabhas to battle the antagonist Supreme Yaskin, portrayed by Kamal Haasan. However, Nag Ashwin has shut down this rumor as well. Intriguingly, the director found one theory interesting, although he gently denied it: the idea that Bujji would transform into a white horse for Deepika Padukone’s son in the future.
The internet is buzzing with wild speculation about Kalki 2898 AD, but fans will have to wait until the sequel next year to discover what surprises Nag Ashwin has in store.
With a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Shobhana, and Rajendra Prasad, this ambitious film, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies on a grand scale, features a memorable soundtrack by Santhosh Narayanan.
