The much-anticipated cop drama film, ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh,’ featuring actor-politician Pawan Kalyan and directed by Harish Shankar, has stirred controversy with its recent teaser release titled ‘Bhagat’s Blaze.’ While intended as a promotional tool for the film, the teaser has drawn attention for its political undertones, resembling more of a political advertisement than conventional film promotion.
Criticism arose as Mythri Movie Makers, the film’s production company, allegedly failed to obtain necessary permissions or undergo pre-certification processes from the Election Commission of India for using political content in digital or print media.
In response to these allegations, Mukesh Kumar, the chief electorate officer of Andhra Pradesh, addressed the issue during a media interaction. He clarified that he has not personally reviewed the content, but if the claims regarding its political nature are validated, legal notices will be issued to the filmmakers and the Janasena Party involved.
