Fact Check: Claims of No Audience for Suhas in Theatres

Comedian-turned-actor Suhas has gained recognition for his impressive performances, especially after Colour Photo, which was released directly on digital platforms during the pandemic. Despite consistently choosing unique and fresh concepts for his subsequent films—such as Writer Padmabhushan, Ambajipeta Marriage Band, Sriranga Neethulu, Prasanna Vadanam, Gorre Puranam, and Janaka Aithe Ganaka—none of them have performed well at the box office.

His most recent film, Janaka Aithe Ganaka, produced by Dil Raju and released during the Dasara season, also saw poor theatrical openings despite extensive promotions. Suhas does have a strong non-theatrical market, and his films are made on controlled budgets. However, it appears that audiences prefer to watch his films on digital platforms rather than in theaters, raising questions about his box office draw.
