Fahadh Faasil’s Ego Clashes Cause Delay in ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’

“Fahadh Faasil, one of Indian cinema’s finest actors, is currently juggling several film projects. Among these, he plays the lead antagonist in ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ which has seen its release date moved from August to December. Sources indicate that Fahadh Faasil is a significant reason for the postponement.

Fahadh Faasil made his impactful entry during the pre-climax of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ and has a full-length role in the sequel. The actor had initially allocated dates for the film in January and February. However, due to Sukumar’s changes in the shooting schedule, Fahadh’s allocated dates were wasted, causing his disappointment.

As Fahadh continued signing new projects, he found it challenging to reallocate dates for ‘Pushpa 2.’ Despite numerous attempts to reschedule, Fahadh’s availability issues led to further delays. He openly expressed in an interview that ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ did not benefit him as an actor, contributing to ego clashes with the film’s team. Recently, Fahadh finally managed to allocate the necessary dates, but the delay is expected to cost the makers over Rs 40 crores.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule,’ featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, is now slated for release on December 6th.
