The release date of Kalki 2898 AD has been shrouded in suspense, adding to the anticipation surrounding one of the most awaited movies of the year. With a star-studded cast featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, expectations for the film are sky-high.
Initially slated for a 9th May release, the looming elections on 13th May have compelled the makers to reconsider. Two alternative dates are under consideration: 30th May and 20th June. However, both options present challenges, with the former coinciding with the election season and the latter clashing with the release of Indian 2 and the end of summer vacations.
As a result, reports suggest a potential postponement to July, likely in the second week. The official announcement is anticipated on Srirama Navami, on 17th April.
Director Nag Ashwin has teased that Kalki will push boundaries like never before in Indian cinema, heightening curiosity among audiences. Clarification on the release date is eagerly awaited by all.
