With Ram Charan’s Game Changer nearing its release date, attention has turned to the potential ticket price hikes in Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana. Recent developments in Telangana have raised uncertainty about the possibility of ticket rate hikes, leaving producer Dil Raju with the challenge of resolving the issue.
For AP, recent Tollywood blockbusters like Devara and Pushpa 2 could serve as benchmarks. Devara saw a ticket price hike of Rs 110/- for single screens and Rs 135/- for multiplexes, while Pushpa 2 increased prices to Rs 150/- for single screens and Rs 200/- for multiplexes.
For Game Changer, Dil Raju’s team is likely considering a hike of Rs 135/- for single screens and Rs 180/- for multiplexes, aiming to stay close to Pushpa 2’s pricing. However, this could prove difficult since Game Changer is not a solo release and will face competition from Daaku Maharaj and Sankranthiki Vastunnamu. Higher ticket prices could potentially impact the film’s box office collections.
In Telangana, the situation is more rigid, with Revanth Reddy already declaring no hikes or special shows will be allowed. The onus now lies on Dil Raju to strategize and ensure a favorable outcome for Game Changer amidst these challenges.
