What attracted you to the story of Viswam?
I’ve been wanting to collaborate with Srinu Vaitla for a while. Initially, we discussed a few ideas that didn’t click for me, but when he shared the storyline of Viswam, it felt perfect. It’s structured well and complements Srinu Vaitla’s style. He spent seven months crafting the narrative.
How was it working with Srinu Vaitla on this project?
It was an exciting experience. Vaitla has this incredible ability to create a relaxed atmosphere on set. There were scenes so funny that I couldn’t hold back my laughter during the shoot. I even apologized to the other actors for breaking character!
The train episode is creating buzz. Can you share more about it?
Though it might remind people of Venky’s iconic train sequence, the one in Viswam stands out with even more humor and tension. Performances by Vennela Kishore and V.T. Ganesh add a unique flavor to the sequence.
How does the film balance action and comedy?
Srinu Vaitla has done an excellent job merging action with comedy in Viswam. His sharp comedic timing ensures the audience remains engaged throughout the film without losing focus on the action.
Any memorable moments or challenges during filming?
We faced several challenges, like shooting in freezing temperatures of -15 degrees in Manali. But the stunning visuals we captured in Italy made it all worthwhile.
Does the film convey any social messages?
Yes, it subtly touches upon a relevant issue in India. However, it’s presented in a way that doesn’t overshadow the entertainment value.
How did the producers contribute to the film’s overall production?
The producers maintained top-notch production standards, ensuring that the quality was never compromised. This significantly boosted the film’s appeal.
What can the audience expect from Viswam?
Viswam is a wholesome family entertainer packed with laughter and fun for more than two and a half hours.
