Story:

Harikatha is set in a tribal village near Araku during the 1980s and 1990s. The plot revolves around a murder case involving Das (Suman), a boy from a lower caste who is sent to prison. Rangachari (Rajendra Prasad), a Harikatha artist, narrates tales of Lord Vishnu’s avatars through his Rangachari Nataka Mandali. However, strange and violent murders occur every time Rangachari enacts a specific Vishnu avatar.

The villagers believe these killings are acts of divine intervention. However, police officer Virat (Sriram) suspects Rangachari. As Virat investigates, he must uncover the truth behind the murders, the death of Bharat—his friend and the local SI—and Rangachari’s personal tragedy.
