Harish Sajja, the US distributor for the film “Dookudu,” has passed away.

Today, the film community mourns the untimely passing of Harish Sajja, the esteemed US distributor behind Ficus, a leading agency in America. He tragically succumbed to a heart attack in Atlanta.

Harish Sajja began his illustrious journey as a distributor with the Telugu film Rakhi and went on to dominate the US market from 2008 to 2016. His influence spanned a decade, marking him as a titan in transcontinental film distribution.

His legacy includes distributing iconic films such as Dookudu, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Robo, Race Gurram, 1 Nenokkadine, Aagadu, and Janatha Garage. Dookudu notably achieved the milestone of becoming the first million-dollar Telugu film in the USA. The film fraternity deeply mourns his loss, recognising his significant contributions and unwavering passion for bringing Indian cinema to global audiences.
