Renowned global icon Ram Charan is poised to receive an esteemed honorary doctorate from Vels Virtual University in Chennai, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career. Set to grace the convocation ceremony at Vels University in Pallavaram on April 13 as the chief guest, Ram Charan will be bestowed with this prestigious accolade by DG Sitarām, Chairman of AICTE.
The decision to confer this honorary doctorate upon Ram Charan stems from his remarkable contributions to both the cinematic realm and social causes. Embarking on his cinematic voyage with the film “Chirutha” as the scion of megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan has since carved an indelible niche for himself, ascending to global stardom. His meteoric rise to international acclaim reached new heights with the blockbuster “RRR.”
Notably, earlier this year in January, Vels University had announced a similar honor for Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. However, displaying humility and citing commitments amidst the electoral fervor, Pawan Kalyan graciously declined the doctorate, expressing regret over his inability to attend the convocation ceremony due to prior engagements.
