Hyderabad: Car Driver Booked for Sexual Assault in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad police have registered a case against a car driver for allegedly sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman at her residence in the basement of a real estate office in Jubilee Hills. The incident reportedly took place on the night of February 6 and came to light after the victim’s mother filed a complaint on Monday.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Shiva, is a family friend and works as a driver in a private firm. On the evening of February 6, he arrived at the victim’s house around 8 PM with three beer bottles. At the time, the victim’s brother had left for work on the ground floor.

The complaint states that around 11:30 PM, the victim’s mother stepped out to meet her son. Shortly after, at approximately 12:05 AM, the accused allegedly assaulted the victim while she was asleep.

Following the complaint, forensic teams collected evidence from the crime scene, and the police registered a case under Crime Number 87/2025, invoking Section 64 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for grave offenses. SHO K. Venkateswar Reddy of Jubilee Hills police station is leading the investigation.
