The prestigious ANR National Award ceremony took place yesterday with great fanfare. The award, presented by the Akkineni family, was given to Megastar Chiranjeevi for the year 2024. During the award presentation, Chiranjeevi shared, “During the Vijayotsav, I was set to receive a legendary award. However, due to some unfavorable circumstances that day, I felt it was inappropriate to accept the award. So, I placed it in a capsule box and said I would take it when I felt deserving.”
Chiranjeevi further remarked, “That day, I didn’t win at home. But today, as I receive the ANR Award, it feels like I’ve won at home and triumphed in life. My mother was a huge fan of ANR. I also love his dances. Once, when ANR spoke about me, he praised, ‘I have bones, but Chiranjeevi has no bones.’ He called me a pioneer of dance. Hearing him say that Chiranjeevi has enhanced the speed and grace of those dances brings me immense joy.”
