Jani Master Biography:

Jani Master, born Shaik Jani Basha on July 2, 1982, is a renowned Indian dance choreographer primarily known for his work in Telugu and Tamil cinema. He has also contributed his choreography talents to Kannada and Hindi films. Jani is skilled in various dance forms, with a particular emphasis on Western and folk styles. Over the course of his career, he has been honored with several prestigious awards, including a National Film Award, three Filmfare Awards South, and three SIIMA Awards.

Shaik Jani Basha was born on July 2, 1982, in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. He is married to Ayesha, a classical dancer, and together they have a son and a daughter.

Jani Master Allegations:

Jani has been accused of sexual assault and harassment by an employee. A complaint was filed on September 11 at the Raidurgam police station, with details submitted in a sealed cover due to the survivor being a minor at the time of the incidents. According to the survivor, the first instance of sexual assault occurred at a hotel during a show in Mumbai. She also reported that Jani once slammed her head against a mirror for resisting him. Furthermore, she accused him of stalking, vandalizing her property, and pressuring her to marry him after converting her religion. The survivor also claimed that he harassed her during shoots, often summoning her to his cabin to assault her, threatening to ruin her career if she did not comply. Additionally, she alleged that he would sometimes show up at her home late at night.

Jani Master Career & Politics:

Jani began his film career as a dancer in Telugu cinema and gained recognition through the Telugu dance reality show Dhee on ETV. His first major break as a choreographer came with the 2009 Telugu film Drona. Actor Ram Charan later hired him as the choreographer for the 2012 film Racha, and Jani has since worked on all of Ram Charan’s subsequent films. Over the years, Jani has collaborated with top Telugu actors like Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Pothineni, and Ravi Teja. He also expressed his admiration for Ram Charan by singing a song dedicated to him.

In 2014, Jani expanded into Bollywood when Salman Khan appointed him as the choreographer for Jai Ho. Beyond films, Jani also choreographs award ceremonies and has served as a mentor and choreographer on two television reality dance shows. His impressive work has earned him multiple accolades, including Filmfare Awards, CineMAA Awards, and South Indian International Movie Awards. Since 2017, Jani has also been a judge on popular Telugu dance reality shows, including Neethone Dance on Star Maa.

In 2018, Jani choreographed the film MLA and assisted Prabhudeva on the Tamil song “Rowdy Baby” from Maari 2. The song’s choreography went viral, earning international popularity. In 2020, Jani received widespread acclaim for his choreography of the song “Butta Bomma” from the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The unique rolling step from the video became a sensation, with celebrities and social media users recreating it. On January 24, 2024, Jani officially joined the Jana Sena Party in the presence of its leader, Pawan Kalyan.
