Jani Master, a prominent choreographer in Indian cinema known for his work in Telugu and Tamil films, has been arrested on charges of sexual harassment. He applied for interim bail in the High Court to attend the National Awards ceremony scheduled from October 6th to October 10th. The High Court granted him interim bail with certain conditions.
As part of the bail conditions, Jani Master is required to submit two personal guarantees of Rs. 2 lakhs each. He must also appear in court on October 10th at 10:00 a.m. and is prohibited from making any public statements or engaging with the media regarding the case. Additionally, the court has instructed him not to seek further temporary bail during this period.
Jani Master recently received a National Award for his choreography in the film Thiruchitrambalam and is expected to collect the award in person in New Delhi. He is currently facing serious allegations from a former assistant, who claims that he sexually assaulted her multiple times and threatened her against discussing the incidents publicly. She also alleged that he attempted to use his influence to hinder her career as an independent choreographer.
