This Diwali, several films are gearing up to test their fate at the box office, and Kiran Abbavaram’s KA is one of the most anticipated releases. At the pre-release event, the team shared exciting details and issued challenges that have doubled expectations for the movie.

Matching the buzz, KA has delivered strong content, earning a positive talk from early viewers and paving the way for impressive box office collections. Here’s a look at the film’s budget and business so far.

According to trade reports, the budget for KA stands at ₹15 crore, with Kiran Abbavaram waiving his remuneration, bringing the total potential cost to ₹20 crore. From the trailer release onward, the movie has generated substantial interest, leading to a solid pre-release business. It’s reported that the movie has already reached table profit.

Theatrical rights for the Telugu version sold for ₹12 crore, while ETV acquired digital and satellite rights for ₹10 crore, bringing the film’s breakeven mark to ₹22 crore.

With positive word-of-mouth spreading, there’s potential for the film to expand into other languages, adding more revenue from additional rights sales. The outlook for distributors and investors is promising, with profits expected from the solid response.

In promotions, Kiran Abbavaram confidently stated, “A concept like KA has never been seen before…if proven otherwise, I’ll quit films.” Early viewers are attesting that his statement is no exaggeration after watching the film.

The directors’ non-linear narrative style, the village of Krishnagiri as the backdrop, and the challenges faced by the protagonist are resonating with audiences.

While the entire film is engaging, the interval and climax scenes have received high praise, designed to leave viewers thinking and offering a unique experience. The director weaves together themes of birth, karma, and debt with a strong message, giving the story an unexpected and emotionally charged conclusion. The final 15 minutes are full of twists that leave audiences moved and applauding, providing a memorable ending.
