Kiran Abbavaram’s suspense thriller KA launched worldwide on October 31, celebrating Diwali with a solid start and rave reviews. Released exclusively in Telugu, the film has captivated Tollywood audiences and critics alike with its gripping storyline and technical finesse, securing a strong opening day box office collection of ₹3.50 crore in India. Directed by Sujeeth and Sandeep and bankrolled by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy under the Srichakraas Entertainment banner in association with KA Productions, the film’s strong start sets a promising tone for the extended Diwali weekend.
In KA, Kiran Abbavaram stars as Abhinaya Vasudev, a postman newly assigned to a mysterious rural village where dusk falls at 3 PM each day. While reading letters—a personal habit—he unexpectedly finds himself in a high-security interrogation room, questioned by an investigator using hypnotism to delve into his enigmatic past. The story’s intermission and climax sequences have been particularly praised, leaving audiences spellbound.
Despite competition from other Diwali releases, KA managed to draw audiences, and its positive reviews spurred advance bookings. With a technically rich presentation and unique plot twists, the movie’s success on its opening day shows its potential to maintain momentum over the holiday period.
The cast includes Kiran Abbavaram, Tanvi Ram, Nayan Sarika, Redin Kingsley, Ajay, and Achyuth Kumar in pivotal roles. The suspense thriller’s music and background score are composed by Sam C.S., with Viswas Daniel and Sateesh Reddy Masam handling cinematography, and Sree Varaprasad as editor.
