Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s starrer “Kalki 2898 AD” is nearing its one-month mark in theaters, and there’s no slowing down at the box office. Despite new releases, the epic dystopian film held its ground firmly on the fourth Sunday. Read on to find out what the early trends suggest for day 25.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is enjoying a stellar run in theaters. It faces stiff competition from Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s “Bad Newz” in the Hindi belt, yet “Kalki 2898 AD” has maintained its weekend collections admirably. While “Bad Newz” is performing well, the poor reception of “Indian 2” and “Sarfira” has further boosted the domestic tally of this Prabhas starrer.
As of the fourth Saturday, “Kalki 2898 AD” had amassed around 613.70 crores net across all languages in India. The epic dystopian science fiction film has already emerged as a clear success. With an estimated budget of 600 crores, the film has entered the profit zone.
The collections have been impressive, and the trend in the fourth week is highly encouraging. Like the previous weekends, this Nag Ashwin directorial saw a significant jump in collections this weekend, keeping it in the race to reach 650 crores.
According to early trends, “Kalki 2898 AD” added another 8-8.50 crores to its total on day 25. This marks a significant increase of 33-41% compared to Saturday’s 6 crores.
The overall collection after 25 days now stands at an impressive 621.70-622.20 crores.
