“Kalki 2898 AD,” featuring Prabhas, has emerged as a blockbuster sensation at the box office. Within just two weekends, the film grossed over 800 crores and continues to dominate into its third weekend. Sunday saw collections double compared to Friday, highlighting its sustained popularity.
Despite the release of new films like “Sarfira” and “Hindustani 2,” “Kalki 2898 AD” particularly shone in North India, with Saturday collections doubling those of Friday, which stood at 4.5 crore Nett. Saturday’s Nett collection reached 8 crores, pushing the total Hindi Nett collections to just over 245 crores.
The film is poised to comfortably cross the 250 crore mark by evening shows today. With its strong performance expected to continue even on weekdays, reaching 275 crores seems highly plausible, with hopes for a full run exceeding 300 crores if audience interest persists.
The team has already unveiled an official 1000 crore poster globally, solidifying Prabhas’s status as the second actor, after Shah Rukh Khan, to achieve two 1000 crore milestones with “Baahubali” series and “Kalki 2898 AD.” Shah Rukh Khan remains the first actor to achieve this feat with “Pathaan” and “Jawaan.”
