Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, emerged as a box office blockbuster upon its release, performing exceptionally well across all territories. In Telangana, the film recorded an impressive ₹90 crore share, including GST, while Andhra Pradesh contributed ₹93 crore, making it the highest non-Rajamouli film in the combined regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
NTR’s Devara, which also performed strongly at the box office, had a great run in various regions but couldn’t surpass Kalki 2898 AD in the Nizam territory, where Kalki had a sensational run. However, in Andhra Pradesh, Devara managed to outperform Kalki 2898 AD in the Ceded, Guntur, and Nellore territories. Despite this, Devara fell short overall, grossing around ₹90 crore in Andhra Pradesh, just ₹3 crores behind Kalki 2898 AD.
As of now, Kalki 2898 AD holds the non-Rajamouli record in all territories across the Telugu states and globally. However, Pushpa 2, set for release on December 6th, is expected to challenge this record.
