The movie “Kalki 2898 AD” is nearing the end of its theatrical run and has achieved remarkable success at the box office. Despite common accusations of number tampering in Telugu cinema, the film’s impressive performance is well-documented in industry records. Much of this success is credited to Prabhas‘ exceptional performance, building on his fame from “Baahubali.”
The movie’s triumph extends beyond its intriguing plot and direction to its stellar cast, which captivated audiences. Notable performances from Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwadhamma, Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, Rajendra Prasad, Shobana, Shashwata Chatterjee, and Deepika Padukone have left a lasting impression. Fans are eagerly anticipating the sequel, directed by the renowned Shankar, although details about the sequel remain a closely guarded secret, heightening the anticipation.
According to a news report by Deccan Chronicle, “Kalki 2898 AD” is set to debut on major OTT platforms. Prime Video India has acquired the streaming rights for the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions. Hindi-speaking fans can look forward to watching the film on Netflix India. Although translations into other languages might be delayed, there is speculation that they could be available on Prime Video India as early as September. However, the distributors have yet to confirm the exact date. The filmmakers have announced that the film will be available on OTT platforms only after 10 weeks of its theatrical release, adding to the excitement for its online premiere.
