Keerthy Suresh, a prominent name in Tamil and Telugu cinema, is making waves with her Bollywood debut, Baby John. The film, directed by Kalees and co-starring Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff, hit theatres earlier this week, marking her entry into Hindi cinema.
While in Mumbai for promotional events, Keerthy experienced an awkward moment with the paparazzi. Spotted on Thursday evening in a stylish denim dress, the actress posed for photographers outside a venue. However, the paparazzi mistakenly addressed her as “Kriti.” The actress promptly corrected them, saying, “Kriti nahi, Keerthy,” emphasizing the distinct meanings of the two names in Hindi and Sanskrit.
The situation escalated when a few photographers referred to her using the term “dosa,” a controversial nickname Bollywood paparazzi sometimes use for actors from the South. Clearly irritated but maintaining her composure, Keerthy responded, “Keerthy dosa nahi, Keerthy Suresh. Aur dosa mujhe pasand hai” (I’m not Keerthy dosa but Keerthy Suresh. But I like dosa).
