Keerthy Suresh’s Iyengar Bridal Saree Featuring Self-Written Poem and a Heartfelt Ode – Watch the Viral Video

Keerthy Suresh tied the knot with her long-time partner, Antony Thattil, in a beautiful traditional Iyengar wedding in Goa on December 12. The ceremony was filled with love, laughter, and cultural richness. For her wedding day, Keerthy wore two stunning bridal outfits, blending tradition with personal touches that made her attire truly unique.

Keerthy Suresh’s Bridal Sarees

For her first look, Keerthy wore a heritage-inspired nine-yard Madisar silk saree in mustard and yellow, a traditional drape worn by Tamil Brahmin women. The saree, designed by Anita Dongre, was a custom creation in pure handloom Kanjeevaram silk, woven over 405 hours. It featured intricate gold zari geometric checks and nature-inspired motifs, crafted using the Korvai technique. The border and pallu of the saree showcased contrasting colors, with a personal poem by Keerthy herself woven into the design.

Antony’s wedding attire complemented Keerthy’s look, with a handwoven silk kurta and dhoti in the Korvai technique, paired with a matching Kanjeevaram stole. His outfit was crafted in 105 hours, showcasing the artistry of traditional weaving.

Keerthy Suresh’s Bridal Jewellery

Keerthy’s bridal jewellery exuded traditional opulence. A standout was the elaborate headpieces, including the Andal Kodai (side hair bun) adorned with gold and pearl detailing, along with the nethi chutti (matha patti), suryapirai (sun), chandrapirai (moon), and Jadanagam (braid ornament), all embellished with gemstones. Her hairstyle was completed with delicate mogra flowers, adding an elegant finishing touch.

Keerthy Suresh’s Red Bridal Saree: A Tribute to Her Mother

For her second outfit, Keerthy draped a red-maroon silk saree, a sentimental tribute to her mother, actress Menaka Suresh. The saree was a special piece passed down from her mother. Keerthy paired it with ruby jewellery and a maroon Anita Dongre blouse adorned with delicate floral zari embroidery, which beautifully mirrored the intricate patterns of her mother’s matching saree.

On the work front, Keerthy will soon be seen in the upcoming film Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan.
